Katie is a Registered Animal Health Technician and has been working for the Qualicum Beach Animal Hospital with Dr. Ashley Bernauer since 2015 when she first bought the practice. She graduated from the renowned veterinary technician program at Thompson River University in 2014, and over the years has developed many special interests, including anesthesia and dentistry.

Katie lives with her husband TJ and their two kids, Ryder and Nora. She and her family have acquired a couple of furry family members along the way; Hailey is a labrador cross who is crazy about the beach, and Dixie is a terrier cross who is sweet natured and wise in her old age. Katie enjoys camping trips, beach escapes, gardening and yoga.
